He has been awarded several international prizes, including the first prize in the junior category in the UNEP photographic competition, a first prize and five highly commended images in the "Wildlife Photographer of the Year" competition and a second prize in "Hasselblad Open". Three of his books have won awards.
Aside from working directly as a photographer, he has held several exhibitions and multivison shows in Norway and abroad and has led photographic workshops.
