The Photographer

Pål Hermansen was born in 1955 in Oslo, Norway, and was educated as a dentist and a homeopath. But he early took up photography, and since 1971 he has worked as a freelance photographer and writer. His first photo-journalistic book was published in 1985, and to date he has published ten books of text and photos and has supplied texts or photographs for ten other books. His international book publications include "Panorama Norway" (in English and German editions), and "Svalbard, Arctic Land" (English).
His photographs have been published in international magazines including GEO, Terre Sauvage, Bell` Europa. Altair, Travel Holiday and others.
